Program Educator

Talking Talons Educators deliver our nationally recognized, award winning curriculum in public and private schools, educational outreach presentations, and interpretive hikes and other nature interpretation. All educators work directly with our collection of live, non-releasable birds of prey, bats and reptiles. Other organizational functions may include fundraising, special events, animal care, writing, phone work, scheduling, etc. These are team oriented positions requiring a love of children and animals, efficient work style, flexible hours, people skills, public speaking ability, and a background in education.

Animal Caretaker

Animal Caretakers participate in the care, feeding, medication and other health maintenance needs of our collection of non-releasable birds of prey, bats and reptiles. Prior experience with exotic or non-domestic animals is desirable. These positions require a high level of attention to detail, excellent observation skills, and a gentle, nurturing attitude. Compensation varies depending on experience.
